The Knox County Sheriff handles countywide patrol, warrants, and the jail. Creighton Police keeps reports made by its officers, while the Knox jail can hold the booking record from the same event. Crofton is now patrolled by the sheriff. For a Bloomfield event, confirm the arresting agency with city government or the sheriff because no current official city police records page was located. Nebraska State Patrol, conservation officers, tribal authorities, and federal officers may also create records within or near the county. Ask the creator for its report.
No Knox County Arrest Roster
Knox County does not publish a verified person-level jail roster, daily arrest blotter, named booking-image feed, or mobile booking app. Commercial roster sites are not substitutes for county records. The county phone directory lists the sheriff and jail at 402-288-4261; call to ask whether a person is held, released, or transferred. If staff cannot provide the needed booking detail by phone, request a specific booking or release record in writing. The county describes the office as open around the clock, but that does not promise administrative copy work at all hours.
A “not found” answer can have several causes. The person may have been released, moved to another custodian, or booked under corrected identifying information. A state sentence can shift the search to the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services locator. Federal custody uses the Bureau of Prisons locator. NEVCAP, linked by the sheriff, can provide custody-status alerts, but it does not replace the official booking or court file. Confirm a result with the office that holds the underlying record.

Looking Up Knox County Arrests
The most useful first source depends on the question. Current custody and bond begin with the jail. The narrative belongs to the arresting agency. Filed charges and outcomes belong to County or District Court. For Bloomfield, verify who created the report rather than selecting a same-named out-of-state agency from search results. Nebraska Public Records Statutes call for a response as soon as practical and no later than four business days. The response may produce access, give a written legal denial, or explain the earliest practical production date and estimated cost. Nebraska residents receive the first eight cumulative employee hours of search, identification, redaction, and copying labor without existing-salary charges. A deposit may be required if estimated copy costs exceed $50. Inspection during normal administrative hours is generally free unless another statute applies.

Booking Logs and Recent Arrests
No official Knox County booking log or current-arrest feed was found. That absence should change the search method, not send a reader to an unofficial mugshot page. Call the jail, record the booking number and court named by staff, and request the booking or release record if more detail is needed. A person who is no longer in the jail may have been released or transferred, so current custody and arrest history are not the same question.
The Nebraska Crime Commission Jail Data Query publishes statistics, not people. Its controls let users choose a row, column, release year, release month, and agency. Fingerprints Build Knox Arrest RAP Cycles
Fingerprints are the bridge between a Knox County booking and the Nebraska State Patrol's central criminal-history system. A booked arrest can generate or confirm a Nebraska state identification number and transmit the arrest cycle. Social Security number, driver's-license number, residence, and prior names are optional aids. A no-record response can be available at once. A possible match may be researched and returned within three business days, and reports remain available for 14 days. The search covers Nebraska fingerprint-based public records, not arrests from other states.
A missing NSP entry can mean fingerprints were not taken or submitted, reporting has not caught up, the event occurred elsewhere, or Nebraska law removed the non-conviction information from ordinary dissemination. None of those possibilities proves the agency report or court file never existed.
Arrests Are Not Convictions
Booked charges state the arresting authority's basis at intake. The County Attorney later decides what to file, and the court determines the outcome. A charge can be narrowed, amended, dismissed, or never filed. An acquittal is not a conviction. Read the court judgment before describing an arrest as a guilty result, and keep the booking record separate from the filed case.

Note: An arrest is not proof of guilt, and a Knox County booking may never lead to a filed charge or conviction.
Knox Nonconviction Arrest Access Limits
Nebraska law limits ordinary public dissemination of defined non-conviction criminal-history information. Under §29-3523, information can be removed one year after an arrest when the prosecutor decides not to file, two years after completed diversion with no filing, or upon qualifying dismissal, acquittal, or specified program completion. A Nebraska set aside is different. It concerns a qualifying conviction after sentence completion and does not erase the original arrest report or historical court file. If a disposition is wrong, preserve the report and identify the exact cycle to the originating court or agency. NSP can update its record after the source agrees that the supplied data is incorrect.
After Knox Arrest Release or Transfer
Once a person leaves Knox County Jail, the local phone check may return no current custody result. Ask whether the person was released, sent to another county, transferred to state custody, or moved under federal authority.
